The Centro is the identity that earned Balneário Camboriú its nickname as Brazil's Dubai. Praia Central runs three kilometres of sand between Morro do Careca and Barra Sul, with a revitalised promenade and Avenida Atlântica lined by residential towers of up to seventy storeys — One Tower is the tallest residential building in Brazil. Housing combines compact units geared to vacation rentals with high-end ocean-front duplex penthouses. Tourist demand is firm December through March; retail and dining run year-round.
